Between Heat and Heartbeat

Enjoy your bath and rule my heart,
Steam wraps around you, a work of art.
The night is heavy, my body still,
Yet my mind roams where I’ve no will.

I wish you were here, not far away,
To trace the drops that slip and play,
Down your curves, like silver streams,
Lost between my waking dreams.

Water beads upon your skin,
Gliding slow, where I have been.
Each ripple whispers, calls my name,
Ignites my pulse, fuels my flame.

Fingers trace your dampened strands,
How I long to take your hands,
Pull you close, breathe you in,
Drown in love, lost in sin.

Enjoy your bath—your body’s glow,
But know my thoughts still overflow.
If only distance could unwind,
You’d be here, your lips on mine.
