Men too

I always wanted to change the world
On my first day on the campus
I saw her giving a speech
How to change the world.

Rest of the life
She spent to change my life
And rest of the life
I spent to change myself
For her happiness.

Finally, we are divorced
Her last sentence was
“The world cannot change.”
“And men too.”

स्त्रीत्व

जल-थल के बिना, नभ का क्या अस्तित्व है
मेरी प्यास ही, तुम्हारा स्त्रीत्व है.

Women’s Day

There is no use in celebrating “Women’s Day” until and unless:
Kareena Kappor understands the pain of Amrita Singh,
Hema Malini understands the pain of Prakash Kaur,
Rekha understands the pain of Jaya Bhaduri,
Soniya Gandhi understands the pain of Menka Gandhi,
Sridevi understands the pain of Mona Kapoor,
Kiran Rao understands the pain of Reena Dutt,
Lara Dutta understands the pain of Shveta Jaishankar,
Sarika understands the pain of Vani Ganapathy,
Gouthami Tadimalla understands the pain of Sarika,
and ……
Until and unless an Indian woman understands the pain of another woman, just tagging a photo or writing about “Women’s Day” and women power is meaningless.
