क्यों खरीदता हूँ मैं इतनी किताबें,
हर शख्श पूछ रहा है इस बाजार में,
क्या नहीं है कोई मेरे जीवन में प्रेमिका,
जो अनजान हूँ मैं साजों-श्रृंगार से.
मुस्कुराता हुआ चला जाता हूँ,
बिना किसी विवाद में उनसे,
क्या कहूं उनसे, कि किस कदर,
अनजान हैं वो, अपने जीवन में,
बहन-भाई-माँ के प्यार से, परमीत
