The announcement of Bharat Ratan for Atal jee brought the true face of BJP that they are not different than congress. L.K. Advani keep telling that he wrote so many letters to Manmohan Singh for considering Atal jee name. However, no one in BJP considered P.V. Narasimha Rao’s name for this award along with Atal jee. It was Narasimha Rao who awarded Atal jee “Padma Vibhushan” in 1992 even if he was PM from the Congress party. It is well known fact that he was trying for Pokharan but was unable due to USA and so he had a personal talk with Atal jee before leaving the office. He requested him not to give up.

It was an opportunity for BJP and Modi to defeat Congress in their game. It is well known fact that Soniya jee don’t like Narasimha Rao. It was a nice opportunity for BJP to win the heart of Telgu people by showing its bigger heart as late N.T.R had shown by supporting Narasimha Rao in election as he was the first PM candidate from south. The same thing was done by Bal Thakre in case of Pratibha Patil. However, What BJP did here is very much similar what Congress did by not considering a great leader like Atal jee for Bharat Ratan during their reign.
