प्रेम वही जिसमे मिलान हो,
विछोह तो गाय से बछड़े का होता है.
अभी मुख से स्तन छूट भी नहीं,
और खूंटे से इनको बंधन होता है.
प्रेम, वही, जिसमे ओठों से रसपान हो,
विछोह में तो मीरा को विषपान होता है.
अभी विरह में ह्रदय जी भर के रोया भी नहीं,
और मीरा को जग से जाना पड़ता है.

I have lost my black hairs,

I lost my love,
In the crowd.
She got new love,
In the crowd.
The best part of this,
Is that,
I am alone to jump,
Now,
Anywhere in the crowd.
I blamed her for my failures,
she blamed me for her failures,
But we are the most successful,
To achieve , now, new failures,
In the crowd.

परेशान है सारे शहर में.
शायद वो किसी का,
बाप हैं.
शायद उसका पुत्र,
पड़ गया है किसी के इश्क़ में.
और उसके बुढ़ापे का,

समंदर जब अपने ज्वार-भाटे के उबाल पे था,
तब कसा था मैंने उसे अपने बाहों में.
मेरे मिटने के बाद, उतारी हैं जमाने ने,
कस्तियाँ अपनी उसके लहरों पे.
वो जो बखान करते हैं महफ़िल-महफ़िल
अपनी रातों का.
नहीं जानते की कितने परवाने सोएं हैं,
उनसे पहले, उनकी शर्मीली शमा के आगोस में.
